Fig of the week #18 Archipel Prolific (Osborn Prolific?)

Fig of the week #18 Osborne Prolific AKA  Osborne's Prolific, Neveralla, Archipel, Hardy Prolific, Osborn, Rust, Osborne

Hardiness: Survives the Seattle Winter
Type: Unifere
Fruit Ripens: September
Fruit Color: Yellowish green with light yellow interior
Taste: Mild and fluffy
Fruit Weight: 30grams

There's a lot of controversy/confusion behind the name of this fig. I've seen varieties that are from UC Davis that are yellow with a syrupy pink interior (I'm sure it's a different fig altogether and not jst environmental) and then there's the one that I know which has the light creme colored interior. It's not overly sweet but very tasty in it's own right. If you let this one get wilted ripe on the tree it's can be very jammy good.

I like it just before it hits that wilted stage and retains some of the fluffiness as well as the right amount of sweetness.
